What must be on an invoice?
- Your name or business name, address and your FIN or VAT number if you are VAT registered
- A unique, sequential invoice number and the invoice date
- The customer's name and address
- Description, quantity and price of what you supply
- Amount excluding VAT, the VAT rate, the VAT amount and the total
- Your KKF number: leaving it off can lead to a fine (Trade Register Act)
- With VAT: the FIN number of a business customer and the date of supply if it differs from the invoice date. Issue the invoice within 15 days after the end of the month of supply (VAT Act art. 27 and 28). Put the supply date under Notes if needed.

VAT rates are 10% (standard), 5% (water, electricity, cooking gas, domestic freight), 25% (luxury goods), 0% (mainly exports) and exempt. More in VAT in Suriname.
